Roofing Tar on Vehicle

A Pennsylvania car dealership was having some work done on their roof, when an accident happened and roofing tar fell on and in a customer's vehicle below.  They tried butyls of various types to no avail.  Then they remembered a sample bottle of Split! Restorative cleaner their Jan-San rep had left with them!

When viewing these pictures, another dealer remarked "we would have had to replace the car!"
